Steps have been taken to reduce the special commodity tax imposed on a kilo of imported rice.
Accordingly, it is stated that the special commodity tax, which was previously 65 rupees for a kilo of rice, has been reduced to one rupee.
It is further stated that this decision will be effective from January 2nd to the upcoming 21st.
